PRSM Project

Recycling Mondo Plast S.R.L., headquartered in Mărăcineni, no. 74D, Argeș County, Romania, announces the signing, on 27.05.2025, of Financing Contract no. 263 for the implementation of the project entitled „Sustainable Growth of Recycling Mondo Plast S.R.L.'s Competitiveness through Durable Investments”, under SMIS Code 331011, with the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency (ADR Sud-Muntenia), acting as the Managing Authority for the South Muntenia Regional Program (AM PRSM).

The project will be implemented at the company’s operational site, located in Argeșelu village, Mărăcineni commune, through a non-reimbursable financing granted under the South Muntenia Regional Program 2021–2027, Investment Priority 1 – „A Competitive Region through Innovation, Digitalization, and Dynamic Enterprises”, Specific Objective 1.3 – „Intensifying sustainable growth and enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs and creating jobs within SMEs, including through productive investments (ERDF)”, Intervention Area – 2.1 – Commercial development and internationalization of SMEs, including productive investments.

The total value of the project is €5,823,375.87, of which €2,806,633.20 represents non-reimbursable funding, financed from the European Regional Development Fund – €2,385,638.22 and the National Budget – €420,994.98.

General objective of the project: increasing the company’s competitiveness to achieve sustainable development, which involves investments in high-performance equipment to ensure product quality in line with national and international market standards, expanding the customer base, and optimizing the use of production capacities created through the implementation of this investment project. The objective aligns with the goal of the South Muntenia Regional Program 2021–2027, namely to contribute to the “Intensification of sustainable growth and competitiveness of micro and small enterprises in the South Muntenia region.”

Specific objectives of the project:

1. Continuous improvement of the quality of products manufactured using the newly acquired professional equipment;

2. Increasing the annual turnover for the fiscal year following the completion of the investment by at least 2%;

3. Maintaining, operating, and ensuring the sustainability of the investment project throughout its entire durability period and beyond.

Results:

• Increasing the company's competitiveness as a result of business expansion.

• Investment project successfully completed in compliance with the funding conditions.

• Expansion of facilities and enhancement of equipment to process larger volumes of recyclable materials.

The implementation period of the project is from the date of signing the funding contract (27.05.2025) until 31.05.2026.
