Recycling Mondo Plast SRL, headquartered in Mărăcineni, no. 74D, Argeș County, Romania, announces the signing, on 27.05.2025, of Financing Contract no. 263 for the implementation of the project titled "Sustainable Growth of the Competitiveness of Recycling Mondo Plast SRL through Sustainable Investments", associated with SMIS Code 331011, with the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency (ADR Sud-Muntenia) as the Managing Authority for the South Muntenia Regional Programme (MA SMRP).

The project will be implemented at the company’s work site located in Argeșelu Village, Mărăcineni Commune, through non-reimbursable funding granted under the South Muntenia Regional Programme 2021-2027, Investment Priority 1 – “A competitive region through innovation, digitalization, and dynamic enterprises”, Specific Objective 1.3 – “Enhancing sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including through productive investments (ERDF)”, Area of Intervention – 2.1 – Commercial development and internationalization of SMEs, including productive investments.

The total value of the project is 5,823,375.87 Euro, of which 2,806,633.20 Euro represents non-reimbursable funding, financed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) – 2,385,638.22 Euro and the National Budget – 420,994.98 Euro.

General objective of the project: to increase the company’s competitiveness towards sustainable development, which involves investments in high-performance equipment to ensure product quality at the level of existing national and international standards, increase the number of clients, and optimally use the production capacities created through the implementation of this investment project. The objective is aligned with the goal of the South Muntenia Regional Programme 2021-2027, namely to contribute to “Enhancing sustainable growth and competitiveness of micro and small enterprises in the South Muntenia region.”

Specific objectives of the project: 1. Continuous improvement of the quality of products manufactured using newly acquired professional equipment; 2. Increasing the annual turnover for the fiscal year following the completion of the investment by at least 2%; 3. Maintaining, operating, and ensuring the sustainability of the investment project throughout its durability period and beyond.

Results: Increased company competitiveness as a result of business expansion; Successfully completed investment project in compliance with financing conditions; Expansion of facilities and improvement of equipment to process larger volumes of recyclable materials.

The implementation period of the project is from the signing date of the financing contract (27.05.2025) until 31.05.2026.
